Babygirl is older than she looks. She's actually a college student in her early twenties but looks more like she's in her teens. Babygirl spends a lot of time volunteering at Homies High School doing college recruitment work. She helps students realize their dreams of getting into college by helping them through the application process. She also helps them apply for and get grants and financial aid. She especially works closely with the young Latina students..cautioning them about the huge problem in the community with teenage pregnancy. She warns them to be careful about sex, and to refrain from it completely if they can. She was a love child herself and born to a teenage mom. They had a really tough go at it...so she speaks from experience.
